Bremen Space Centre

Phil Hartley was responsible for the technical aspects of the installation at Bremen Space Centre, Bremen, Germany. His role included the technical aspects, AV systems, AV software and dynamic lighting for the multiple attractions within the complex. These specifically included:

  • The world’s first indoor “virtual” roller coaster, named “Galaxie Express”

  • A 4D “Star Trek” theatre

  • A 3D dark ride called “Planet Quest”

  • The “Destination Moon” theatre

  • An interactive dark ride called “Robot Rescue”

  • The Hub, a sound and light experience

  • The “Moonbase 1” children’s play area

  • “Stargate” motion simulator experience with 3 cabins

  • The bistro, retail and much more

Working with an in house design team, Profun Management Consultants and a number of industry colleagues from the US, UK and Europe - this project was opened in February 2004.
